* Guess this is what huge salary hikes in the software Industry does to the Bangalore car market.

* Flood damage in TamilNadu 'colossal' says the central team.

Weather and Cricket match - both uncertain ;-) DNA states that Chennai faces weather, legal and Insurance worries.

* Jet Airways launches daily flights from Chennai to Singapore. One more in the already crowded market. I hear that the Singapore airlines is planning to make its daily flight out of chennai to Double daily shortly.

* If you are a resident of Kochi or if you have visited Kochi recently, You will agree with me why High court of Kerala interferes to curb traffic blocks. MG Road in Kochi is a nightmare to motorist and the pedestrians. Hope something gets done faster to give some breathing space to the God's own country.

West Indian Humor

I'm in this lovely place on an official assignment. I have been here for the last one month. Pristine beaches, lovely people, space that is simply captivating and awesome. And there is the unique West Indian humour that is pretty evident.

# I had a guy and a lady , member of the bank staff (where I work) to receive me from the Airport in Providenciales. When I got dropped in the Apartment, I thanked her and she replied saying that I’m like her son and I need not thank her. While she was saying that, this guy interrupted and asked her if HE is not her son. She immediately replied - “You are the kind of son that a mom will love only on his pay-day”!!

# One other day, In the middle of the banking hall, a male staff member was actually showing off his tummy and shouting that something had bitten him badly and it was paining like hell ! There came an immediate reply from one of the corners – "May be it’s the chicken from inside" ;-) He checked with the Doctor regarding that unbearable pain and found that it was a Spider bite.
You must have guessed it by now- Next day, we all knew how to call him – "SPIDER MAN".

# My turn ;-) – I was at my desk when one of the staff barged in to ask a question while I was in the middle of some important work..….apparantely she realized that I was busy and checked if she was wasting my time, quite apologitically. I responded (obviously, on a lighter note) – “Don’t worry, I won't let you waste my time. I’m good at that, so I won't let anyone do that for me" ;-)

I received the latest e-statement of my Airtel Mobile and noticed that they have given me 50% discount on all Local and STD calls that were made from my phone on my Birthday!

I think it is really a nice gesture and a creative attempt by the Airtel guys....I only wish they had told me before hand so that I could have planned accordingly ;-D
